Watermelon 'Mini Love'

$5.00

Pre-order for local pick-up available as early as April 15.

I will say it again, who doesn’t love miniatures? I found the perfect addition to your garden—’Mini Love’ Watermelon! I grew up in a town that has a Watermelon Festival, so I have to offer a watermelon variety. This comes with a twist, though! ‘Mini Love’ is a dwarf variety, producing personalized watermelons.

An All-America Selection winner, ‘Mini Love’ was selected because of its high sugar content, thin rind and dwarf growing habit. The vines only grow 3-4’ long, producing 4-6 melons per season per vine. While this variety is not completely seedless, because melons are small, seeds are far and few between.

Spread: ~3-4’

Fruit Size: ~7-9 lbs

A Note from the Grower

Watermelon are quite similar to cucumbers in their care, but produce less fruit per plant. Because the fruit of this cultivar are smaller, it should be able to be trellised. I did have to support fruit with “hammocks” last summer, but it worked well! Head over to my Plant Guide to learn care details!
