Arugula
Pre-order for local pick-up available as early as March 15.
There’s nothing quite like fresh arugula! It has a nutty and sometimes spicy flavor that gives it its common name “rocket salad.”
If you like a nutty, mild arugula, plant early in cooler temperatures. Like its relative, radish, arugula spices up as temperatures spice up. If you like a green with a bit of a kick, harvest later as temperatures start to rise.
Height & Spread: ~16”

A Note from the Grower
Growing greens is absolutely rewarding! They create a picture perfect spring garden, and because of their short lives and shallow roots systems, they can grow in almost any vessel in which you plant them. Enjoy fresh lettuce, arugula, radicchio, kale or chard from the mixes I have offered this year.
It is key to get your greens planted while it is still cool to ensure longer harvest time. Last year, I planted in planters and in-ground, and I have to say, I enjoyed my planter experience best, harvest time lasted longer and I had more room in my raised bed garden for other plants. Head to the Plant Guide for greens planting, care and harvest info.
